JOB SUMMARY CDW have a permanent position available for a Senior Logistics Specialist to work as part of our Logistics Function, working alongside customers, partners and other Logistics & compliance professionals. You will be front and centre for CDW to deliver to over 170 countries. You will work alongside a team of Logistics professionals, leading projects, communication to senior stakeholders, escalations, advising, RCA (Root Cause Analysis) management and process improvements. You will support theday-to-daymanagement of courier relationships, and 3PL partners that CDW use globally to deliver to over 170 countries.Identifyingareas of cost saving, and improvements using analytical data. You will help manage the efficient and economical movements of goods both domestically, and across international borders in accordance with organisational policies and in compliance with relevant local, country, and international customs laws. Given the nature of our work we can have regular changes affecting any of the destinations we ship to and as such you will work alongside our Trade Compliance team to update internal documentation and databases as requirements change. Helping to execute on Trade Compliant processes, aligning to domestic and international trade rules, regulations, and laws. This is a great opportunity to be fully trained to work within Warehouse Logistics. The role involves picking and finding items in the warehouse from the order form or pick list. Once items have been found prepare the relevant documentation for the good to enable it to be despatched. Full training will be given and will include producing airway bills and overseas documents if required. The role also includes assisting with stock take, ensuring accurate inventory levels and counts are documented. The role also includes basic computer skills for data entry and preparation of paperwork. Experience and Personal skills required Good communication skillsBasic IT skills, able to be crossed trained on in house systemAttention to detail as shipping paperwork must be accurateTeam Player, flexible attitudePositive attitude and helpful dispositionIdeally some warehouse experience but not essentialMust be able to be security vettedGood physical stamina, heavy lifting may be involved Finally a fork lift licence would be very useful but again not essential as full training will be given to operate the fork lift.
