Gleeson has exclusively partnered with a Freight forwarding business looking for a Customs Compliance Lead to join their growing business in the UK as they go though AEO status

Job Title: Customs Compliance Lead

Location: Hull

Salary: £35-45,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customs compliance strategies and policies to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Stay updated on changes to customs regulations and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee import and export activities, including documentation, classification, valuation, and tariff determination.
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customs authorities and external auditors.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on customs compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyse customs-related data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Customs Experience
  • In depth Customs Compliance Knowledge
  • Experience with AEO
  • Customs Clearance
