Job Role - Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer / Data Modeller

Salary - £55,000 plus excellent benefits!

Work Pattern - Hybrid - 2 and 3 split.

Summary

This is a brand-new role for an experienced Data Engineer to join a well-established and highly innovative company based in Central Manchester, close to major transport links.

The company are looking for someone to join their growing Data team. As a data enthusiast, your role will be pivotal to their aims of unlocking actionable insights from data for more data driven decisions. You will work with stakeholders to help define and refine requirements transforming them into meaningful data products and related data models - so excellent technical and communication skills are a must!

You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders, across and international business so the ability to communicate, to take briefs and drive business usage of data.

This role could fit people with a range of skills, it could be an analytics engineer, data analyst with Azure skills, data modeller, data engineer. It's a bit of a broader role but we don't need loads and loads of experience for this one.

The Company

This is a company we have worked with for many years and placed numerous people into their data & analytics departments. It's a large company with significant operations in the UK and Europe. The company have a huge amount of investment, to grow their operations - it's really the perfect time to join.

They offer all positions on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in the office but can be fairly flexible in timings.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be a confident person who with great problem-solving skills, and an analytical and proactive mindset. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines so we're on the lookout for someone with great organizational skills!

  • Design and implement proof-of-concept reports that showcase the feasibility and value of a proposed solution in data analytics.
  • Conduct training sessions to inform the business on the value of data.
  • Create logical and physical data models using best practices.
  • Analyse data-related system integration challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL.
  • Implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models.
  • Maintain and optimize conceptual, logical and physical data models.
  • Examine new application designs and recommend corrections.

  • MS Data Technology Stack
  • Power BI / Fabric etc.

For this role we are looking for experience in working with, building, and improving data models but we don't need loads and loads of experience. This role could fit someone who is younger and wants to improve their skills by taking a high-profile position which will stretch you.
