An exciting and innovative bioscience business requires a Financial Controller. Based in Oxford, we’re looking for someone who is driven, curious, and excited to work on cutting-edge R&D projects. This will be a hands-on role where some element of financial processing will be required, whilst also having great opportunity to lead on a variety of business improvement projects.

You will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, taking a hands-on approach in getting things done.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Month-end processes in accordance with GAAP, producing insightful monthly reports for the management team and board of directors.

• Budgeting and forecasting working with the management team to clearly understand the impact of forecast changes and support strategic decision-making.

• Year-end process, to include preparing and submitting annual financial statements, taking a lead on any audit requirements.

You will be a qualified accountant with 3+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting role, with demonstrated expertise in financial management, analysis, reporting, and compliance.

Experience working in a startup or high-growth company environment is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving. This role requires a talented and exceptionally capable individual who has the drive, enthusiasm and motivation to support the ongoing development of this dynamic and growing business.
