Overview:
Are you looking to take the first steps in your successful IT career?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Service Desk Apprentice to join the IT Team, who is keen to hit the ground running and is excited at the prospect of developing within a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be based at our London (Holborn) office, with a requirement to travel to our other Greater London sites on an ad-hoc basis.

Your day-to-day role will involve working closely with experienced professionals to provide excellent customer service as you troubleshoot technical issues, resolve user enquiries, and contribute to the efficiency of IT service delivery.

Salary: £17,000 - £19,000 per annum. 

Duties / What you’ll be doing in your working day:

  • Provide 1st line technical support, addressing queries promptly via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, adhering to service management principles.
  • Ensure SLAs are met for responding to and resolving service tickets. 
  • Take ownership of user problems, proactively seeking resolutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation by logging all calls and incidents. 
  • Collaborate with IT support team members to resolve complex issues.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and vendors to resolve escalated issues. 
  • Handle alert tickets and escalate as necessary.

Tools and technologies learned: Learners will learn to use Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows 10, AWS, Linux, PowerShell.

Skills and experience: 

  • A strong academic background.
  • Highly personable and confident.
  • Able to take responsibility for your success and the self-awareness to know when things go wrong.
  • Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • A drive to build a career with a firm that will give you the support and opportunity you need to succeed.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects:
90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.
