Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Macclesfield

Type: Temp to Perm

Salary: £95 - £115 per day (dependent upon experience)

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a specialised provision catering to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The provision is located in the picturesque town of Macclesfield.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviour, helping them manage their emotions and develop coping strategies.
  • Implement behaviour intervention plans and support students in their academic and social activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students can thrive.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with ASC or SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
