Commercial Account Handler

We are currently recruiting for an independent, Insurance broker near Sheffield with impressive long-term growth plans, who are keen to expand their team with the appointment of an ambitious Commercial Account Handler.

They are very non corporate here, and the board feel they offer a really cool place to work. Relaxed environment (and dress code, they only wear suits when they go to the races here), based in smart offices, with a decent sized balcony to enjoy the sun (when it appears) and free access to a gym on site, which is open 24/7. The office is located in a really nice part of the area, with lots of shops and nice restaurants in the vicinity. They also have free parking for all the team here too!

You will be responsible for looking after existing business here. The main focus will be working on a mixed book of general commercial clients, with most clients being £1-8 million turnover businesses. Sectors wise they have a wide range, including Engineering, Haulage, Construction, Property Developers, Accountants, Solicitors, Horse Livery, Restaurants, shops as well as a solid book of Asbestos contractors and cover wise will involve handling commercial combined, PI, Liabilities, Property, Cyber and Crime.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have at least 2 years commercial insurance experience gained in a broking role, handling a range of commercial risks. Those who currently hold the Cert CII qualification and are prepared to undertake the Dip CII studies are also highly sought after, though not essential. Experience of using Acturis would also be a bonus but again not essential as they can train you on this!

On offer is a starting salary of £28-35,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including Pension, death in service, Private medical cover.

Standard office hours are Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5pm. There is no set hybrid working here, however they do offer flexibility around this should you need to work from home sometimes.
