Job Title: Consultant Ecologist

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000

Location: Essex

We are looking for a Consultant Ecologist near Essex who would like to join a specialist Ecological and Arboricultural Consultancy. For the last decade they have worked for a variety of clients ranging from multinational prestigious organisations to one off small projects for homeowners, and are expanding quickly.

The Consultant Ecologist position offers:

  • Salary of £26,000 - £30,000
  • CPD and professional training schemes

As a Consultant Ecologist, your duties will include:

  • Ecological input to a varied range of projects across different sectors
  • Leading, planning and coordinating field surveys, analysing and interpreting survey results
  • Undertaking reporting of Preliminary Ecological Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments
  • field surveys, including protected species surveys, alongside day-to-day office-based work such as project management, report writing and client liaison

To be considered for the Consultant Ecologist position you must:

  • Have a degree related to ecology
  • Access to your own car and hold a full driving licence
  • Proven experience as a consultant ecologist, ideally in a project environment
