The Role
The business is launching a brand new SaaS product, so this role will be greenfield at its core. You’ll be revolutionising the businesses data management systems using cutting edge technologies within the AWS ecosystem.
Within your role as a Cloud Database Administrator you’ll be responsible for driving innovation and collaboration with cross functional teams and be pivotal in designing, launching and overseeing AWS hosted SQL and noSQL databases to ensure seamless delivery globally.
Core Skills
- Extensive expertise in MySQL database administration, along with proficiency in AWS database services such as RDS and Aurora.
- Proficiency in NoSQL cloud-based solutions like DynamoDB and MongoDB.
- Sound knowledge of replication and high-availability techniques.
- Hands-on experience in database management focusing on performance, integrity, and security.
- Proficiency in query optimization and database lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like HashiCorp Terraform and strong scripting skills (e.g., Python).
- Experience with monitoring tools like AWS Performance Insights, AWS CloudWatch, or DataDog.
