GSL Education is actively seeking a qualified History Teacher for immediate placement at Client Schools in Dover. As a qualified professional, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of human history, inspiring students to engage with historical narratives, analyse primary sources, and develop a nuanced understanding of the past. As a History Teacher, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that bring history to life, aligning with the school's curriculum and schemes of work.
  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of historical events, themes, and methodologies.
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on students' progress and achievements in history.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s policies and practices to support historical education.
  • Set and assess homework assignments that reinforce key historical concepts and skills.

Requirements for the innovative History Teacher role:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching certifications.
  • Demonstrate a passion for history and a commitment to fostering students' historical understanding and skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and utilize assessment data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Be an enthusiastic and innovative educator who inspires curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide a fully checkable work history.
