RM Recruit Ltd is working in partnership with our Lambeth based Housing client who are on the lookout for an Interim Community Engagement Officer for a period of 3 months. This role benefits from working at their sites in the Kennington, Lambeth and Streatham Hill areas with a view to home working once per week.

Main duties include:

  • Manage and maintain the "Resident Voice" engagement database
  • Liaise with and provide excellent communication services to residents
  • Work with training organisations and employers to develop training, return to work and employment opportunities and cater for the unique circumstances of the residents
  • Lead on producing and disseminating communications material for local initiatives.
  • Deliver results that that are driven by residents’ needs. Put the customer first and deliver a tailored service to meet their needs.
  • Foster and promote partnership working with residents and external parties
  • Ensure community cohesion and promote diversity and understanding
  • Promote respectful and supportive relationships.
  • Undertake initiatives to improve the health of residents and promote healthy lifestyles
  • Address community issues highlighted by residents
  • Utilise a customer-focused approach and maximise consultation opportunities for residents
  • Develop and support the Resident Voice and other resident engagement routes.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess experience of social housing, resident participation or community development work. You will possess knowledge of tools used to address anti-social behaviour, improve health and wellbeing, education or worklessness. Any experience of developing and sustaining successful relationships across the public, private and third sectors will be advantageous. Furthermore, you will build trust with customers and delivering excellent customer service.

You will be available immediately and will be able to travel to their Kennington, Lambeth and Streatham Hill offices so location is key.
