MLE Engineer - Azure

SR2 is recruiting for one of the UK's leading AI companies and looking for a Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) on an outside IR35 contract basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Building software and infrastructure that leverages Machine Learning
  • Creating reusable, scalable tools to enable better delivery of ML systems
  • Improving existing systems to enable more scalable, reliable, and maintainable ML systems
  • Working with our customers to help understand their needs
  • Working with data scientists and engineers to develop best practices and new technologies

Experience required:

  • Technical experience of cloud architecture, system design, security, and deployment
  • Understanding of and interest in the full machine learning lifecycle, including deployment of trained ML models using common frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and ideally Azure managed ones (Azure ML Workspace, Azure ML Studio)
  • Experience in Software Engineering including programming and development of applications in Python (e.g. FastAPI)
  • Demonstrable experience with containers (Docker). Kubernetes experience is desirable, but not required
  • Experience deploying Generative AI applications is desirable (e.g. RAG systems, LLM fine-tuning, etc.)
