Project Manager Manufacturing

Job Role: Project Manager
Location: Wythenshawe
Shift: Full Time - Monday to Friday

Salary: up to £38,000 per annum, may negotiate

Metalis is working in partnership with this well established manufacturing company who have an in-house capability to design, manufacture, repair, refurbish and certify a range of aeronautics components.

Job Duties:

• Efficient management of delivery of projects in terms of timescale budgetary and technical performance.
• To hold project kick off meetings and ensure the work scope, timescale, budget and technical data are available and communicated to the team.
• To plan and schedule Projects / Customer Orders with the appropriate departmental
• heads and planning functions to ensure wherever possible the delivery date is met.
• To liaise with the customer / weekly status reporting.
• To liaise with internal departments to ensure adequate staff, for the appropriate
• discipline is allocated to the project to ensure the agreed schedule and quality
• standards are achieved.
• To identify contract variations at an early stage and where agreed with the respective
• Manager / Sales Executive, issue contract variation notice to the customer.
• To liaise with subcontractors where appropriate and where agreed with the Supply
• Chain & Commercial Manager.
• To ensure where appropriate that Design reviews and project milestones are organised and carried out satisfactorily, and to ensure that subsequent design meets the client's requirements as defined in the contract and agreed specifications.
• Responsibility where appropriate to work those hours necessary to complete the task in hand.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in creation and maintenance of MS-Project plans
• Experience of working on delivery of ERP Programmes/Projects
• Previous PMO support experience (issues, risks and tracking)
• Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent training
• Experience within Engineering environment for manufacturing, planning and
• technical support

Salary & Shift:

Full Time - 8 hours per day Mon - Fri

Salary - up to £38,000 per annum
