Our client is a leading home textiles supplier, supplying UK High Street retailers. They now have an excellent opportunity for a QA Technologist / Manager to join their team in Greater Manchester.

Purpose of the role:

To develop, implement, audit and manage quality assurance and control systems to ensure the continuous production of products based on established customer standards, regulatory requirements, specifications, and production efficiency goals. The Quality Manager will be highly organised and have a structured approach to task completion. They will monitor and ensure the quality of goods sold and lead Quality responsibilities within the business. Also working with auditors and internal stakeholders to improve overall product quality.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical subject matter expert across the business including to Sales, Merchandising, Warehousing and Purchasing and the Customers.
  • Ensure professional, accurate and timely communication with internal and external customers to complete tasks and resolve issues.
  • Work with key stakeholders in the development and production of the following but not limited to Pillows, Quilts and other Textiles Bedding products.
  • Manage all product compliance requirements for customers including testing and other compliance certificates gathering, technical file creation, claims substantiation, user trials and product sealing/approval.
  • Check and approving documentation including artwork for QA regulatory content.
  • Schedule audits and following up on NC’S for all sites (including UK, Macedonia & China). Work with auditors to ensure company standards achieve Customer compliance.
  • Act as an internal auditor to maintain high Quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, audit, and lead quality assurance and quality control processes within the business.

Experience Required:

  • QA knowledge and experience within Textile industry.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related professional experience.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, demonstrate ability to complete all tasks with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-up.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers and auditors.
