Job Requirements of this Teaching Assistant job in Tamworth

  • NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Brief Overview of Role:

You will be working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including ADHD, autism, speech, language and communication difficulties, and social & emotional difficulties. Your role is to support their learning, development of abilities, and self-esteem. This position involves working collaboratively with a dedicated team in an Outstanding School environment for pupils with Special Educational Needs. The age group you'll be working with varies, but you'll primarily be supporting pupils within the school's demographic.

Qualifications or Certificates:

  • NVQ3 or equivalent in Special Educational Needs.

Experience:

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Additional Information:

  • The position is subject to a criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB).
  • Disclosure of all unspent and spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions, and convictions is required.
  • Online search (including social media) will be conducted for shortlisted candidates as part of the school's due diligence.
