We’re on the hunt for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant with big ambition. We believe in doing recruitment the right way, by being honest and genuinely putting our candidates’ needs first. If you’re ready to join our collaborative, sociable and successful team, please read on!

The Niche Partnership is on a mission to evolve the broken hiring process and we’re proud to be different to your typical recruitment agency. You’ll get hybrid working and a great annual leave package that includes 26 days off, plus bank holidays, plus your birthday as an extra day off, plus Christmas shutdown, oh and it increases each year up to 30 days!

The benefits don’t stop there though as you’ll also attend regular team socials and get free parking at our modern office in central Southampton (that, by the way, is dog-friendly!)

Joining us as Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will be a valuable asset to our team. Your role will involve advising jobseekers on the current market, conducting interviews and screening individuals for specific job roles as well as generating new business and building lasting client relationships.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be:
  • Supporting Consultants in the daily management of live vacancies before managing your own
  • Leading daily candidate interviews (via telephone/video/in person)
  • Offering support and providing advice to candidates on their career/job search
  • Identifying and building new client relationships, as well as developing existing ones
  • Ensuring all candidates’ expectations are managed, encouraging referrals and recommendations through regular communication
  • Business development and sales activities to generate new vacancies
  • Identifying business leads and following up on them
  • Keeping the customised system up-to-date and accurate
  • Driving initiatives for value-add services to ensure a positive candidate and client experience

What we’re looking for in you:
  • Confidence to meet and engage with new people on the phone and in person
  • Emotional intelligence and ability to build rapport
  • Drive and motivation with a desire to learn and earn more money!
  • A focused attitude with a genuine interest in self-development
  • Experience of working in a customer service/sales/recruitment role would be a bonus but it’s not essential so don’t let that put you off applying!
We want the right person to join us; if you feel you have what it takes to smash this role but don’t fit all the requirements, get in touch with us!

What you will get:
  • Uncapped commission scheme – unlimited earning potential
  • Hybrid working (generally 3 days in office and 2 from home)
  • Dog-friendly office (we have multiple office dogs!)
  • Fun team events and socials – everything from axe-throwing to goat yoga
  • 26 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Annual holiday entitlement increases 1 day per calendar year up to 30 days
  • Extra day off for your birthday, because celebrations are a must
  • Full training to provide you with all the tools you need to be successful, ongoing support
  • Healthcare cash plan - product discount, cashback on dental appointments, complimentary therapies etc.
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Career progression opportunities in a growing business
  • Christmas shutdown
  • Free parking in central Southampton
  • Being part of a culture that truly values their people
