This Online NVQ Assessors course is designed for individuals who need to assess competence within the workplace and the classroom. The course will teach you how to plan and carry out assessments in a straightforward, step-by-step format. By its conclusion candidates will achieve a nationally accredited assessing qualification.

Description

Upon enrollment, learners are sent resources, including presentations, video lectures, an assignment template, assessment templates and an electronic textbook.

At this time the learner is also assigned an email mentor who will mark all submitted work within 5 working days and answer any questions that they may have.

The course comprises of x3 different units

Uni1 - Assignment (roughly 3000 words)
Unit 2 - Workplace (x4 practice assessments)
Unit 3 - Vocational (x4 practice assessments)

The course requires one observation of a practical assessment. This can be completed by another qualified assessor in your workplace, or Train Aid can provide this service for an additional £60.

Once all eight assessments are complete the learner is awarded the nationally recognised Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) qualification.

Requirements

Learners require access to x2 work colleagues. These work colleagues will form the basis of a portfolio of evidence for units 2 & 3. They do not necessarily have to be on a formal training program.

Career path

Successful completion can lead to a full / part time job as an NVQ assessor. This includes hairdressing schools, colleges and childcare courses. The average salary was 26k for a full time position (based on 3013 salaries).
