Questions and answers
Hi, I have completed this course and it isn't accepted in schools I went to an agency today and they said they wont accept this or schools.
Answer:Hi, Am not sure why they said that, as it’s an accredited course for support teaching but the award is just the knowledge part of it. You need to do the certificate which includes practical where you have to complete practical hours in a school setting, this might be why. Hope that answers your question Thanks
This was helpful.I currently work in a school for Autistic children up to age 18. I want to get qualified in SEN. Is this the right course for me?
Answer:Yes this course is good but it’s only the knowledge, you should look at the certificate which is also available
This was helpful.I would be qualified to work as a Primary School Teacher with alone? Or would i need to do a different Course alongside this? Please can you clarify?
Answer:If you want to work with children this course will help you to get started, as you can work as a support teacher in primary school with that qualification. Once you have a placement in a school you can then also do the certificate in supporting teaching and learning in schools, as that one you need to do practical in a school setting to complete the course. Thanks
