Salary: £37,000 per annum.

Our client is a community charity with a green heart that has been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration in London for over 20 years. Each year we deliver hundreds of innovative environmental and social action projects across the capital. Our projects change places and lives for the better in some of London’s most deprived and disadvantaged neighbourhoods. This includes working with communities to make their neighbourhoods greener and more resilient to climate change, supporting long-term unemployed individuals to find work, helping young people get back into education and training, and advising residents how to save money on their energy and water needs.

The Role

Are you passionate about young people and keen to play a pivotal role in our open access service leading on early intervention and prevention to improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people across the London Borough of Southwark?

The Nest is a mental wellbeing support service for young people aged 0 - 25 and living in the London Borough of Southwark. Since launching as a remote service in May of 2020, The Nest has gone from strength to strength and, as we enter our fourth year of delivery, we are looking for an experienced, skilled and driven team manager to lead our 0-25s offer and Nest+.

These teams are responsible for providing 1-2-1 and group therapeutic interventions for 0 - 25 year olds from The Nest’s hub in Peckham, schools and GPs across the borough and other community spaces. The team manager will ensure that the current provision continues to be delivered to the highest of standards while looking to diversify the service offer through the delivery of a drop-in, group work and parent/carer and young people steering groups.

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in delivering programs that support young people’s mental health
  • Experienced in leading and line managing a team
  • Able to engage diverse community partners and stakeholders
  • Knowledge and understanding of the barriers young people can face when accessing mental health support
