An innovative, sustainability focused, energy management consultancy are looking for an Account Manager to join the business. You will be required to deliver on client retention and growth, while ensuring that client requirement are met. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong background within the energy/utilities industry within a similar role, have a good knowledge of flexible energy procurement and used to account managing property companies. Key responsibilities:

  • Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling;
  • Operates as the point of contact for assigned customers
  • Develops and maintains long-term relationships with accounts
  • Makes sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion
  • Communicate client needs and demands to operations team and Directors as appropriate
  • Forecast and track client account metrics
  • To report against internal and external KPIs and SLAs
  • Manage client projects, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
  • Identifying opportunities to grow business with existing clients
  • Collaborate with sales team to reach prospective clients
  • Keep records of all client transactions and communication.

Skills and experience required:

  • B2B Account management in an energy / utilities / broker / consultancy
  • Able to work well with teams from different departments to achieve organisational goals
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
  • Able to present ideas and results to different stakeholders across the business
  • The ability to work alone and take a lead when required
  • Able to adapt to the ever-changing environment and reacting quickly to meet challenges
