ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED BOOKKEEPER/ACCOUNTS MANAGER?

Ellis Mason have the pleasure of recruiting an  ACCOUNTS MANAGER/BOOKKEEPER  for a well established, small company based in Stevenage. This is a standalone role, however accounts will be completed by accountants quarterly and therefore you must keep on top of invoices and self employed workers payments in order to hand over ready files. 

As the  ACCOUNTS MANAGER/BOOKKEEPER , you will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping function and as it is a small firm, you may also assist in general administration and hold responsibility for ordering the company stationary, etc. 

This role is working in small, home based offices in Stevenage currently, however there are plans to move to an office in Arlesey in the future. 

The role requires an immediate start in order to gain a handover with the current employee. 



THE SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Permanent, full time basis.
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
  • Salary circa £34,000-£36,000
  • Government pension scheme.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm


THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of the  ACCOUNTS MANAGER \ BOOKKEEPER , are: 

  • Daily collection and recording of invoices
  • Maintaining HR records, managing pension payments and recording sickness | absence | leave.
  • Preparing and paying invoices.
  • Prepare monthly CIS return.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts and maintain the Cash Forecast spreadsheet.
  • Reconcile, chase and post receipts
  • Matching delivery notes with invoices. 
  • Code and process invoices, reconcile statements and prepare and execute payment runs (cheque and BACS).
  • Full management of credit control.
  • Raising sales ledger invoices.
  • Management accounts: Prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, WIP
  • General office administrative support including management of the daily post.
