System/Aerospace/Simulation Data Engineer

  • 12 month contract
  • Stevenage, Hertfordshire
  • £60ph (Umbrella rate - Inside IR35)
  • Full time 5 days a week on site

The role:

  • To collate stakeholders 'use cases' and produce the database SRDB user requirements documentation
  • To develop and document the database tool and content development, verification & validation plan
  • To develop and formalise database ICDs
  • delivery to the database stakeholders as required
  • To develop and formalise the database tool & content validation plan
  • To perform database tool validation
  • To support the development of the database tool and any updates, either liaising with development team or supporting directly java based solutions
  • To validate data management tool software solutions
  • To develop and formalise the database change process
  • To administrate and manage the database population, maintenance and delivery to the database stakeholders as required
  • To develop and formalise the database tool & content validation plan
  • To perform database tool validation

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of defining, validating & administrating processes that manage engineering data within an engineering context, preferably Aerospace, Space Industry
  • Experience of working with stakeholders on requirements/use case definition for tool development
  • Experience of administering engineering data within 'Database Management Systems' & performing related data import & export processes
  • Java programming/script coding experience
  • Query language experience e.g. SQ
