Apache Hadoop Developer

Role: Apache Hadoop Developer
Length: 6-12 month engagement
Location: Northampton - 3 days per week

One of my financial sector clients are currently looking for a Apache Hadoop Developer. They are looking for a Apache Hadoop Developer to join them on a hybrid basis with travel to office in Northampton 3 days per week. Past experience of working within the financial/banking sector would be ideal.

Development:

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Apache Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Spark etc.)
• Optimise data processing tasks for performance and efficiency
• Integrate Hadoop with other big data technologies and existing infrastructure
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in developing and deploying Apache Hadoop applications
• Familiarity with big data ecosystem tools and technologies
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Java, Python)
• Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
