Assistant Accountant

Reed Accountancy & Finance is excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic team on the outskirts of Maidstone. Our client is experiencing seasonal demands and is in need of professional accounting support for a fixed term of three months.

The Role: As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, which encompasses forecasting, cash flow analysis, and budgeting.
• Preparing final accounts and statements of accounts for review.
• Collaborating with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Providing budgetary support to managers.
• Contributing to the creation of reports and conducting financial analysis to aid decision-making.
• Offering assistance across the business by providing timely financial information.
• Assisting with the maintenance and reconciliation of the balance sheet.

The Ideal Candidate: - Is immediately available to start a new role. - Has proven experience in a similar Assistant Accountant position. - Possesses an advanced proficiency in Excel. - Demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
