Job Title: Assistant Ecologist

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000

Location: West Sussex

We are working with a creative environmental practice based in West Sussex who are looking for an Assistant Ecologist to join the team. This is a new opportunity to join a really interesting company who specialise in landscape design, LVIA, BNG Consulting, Ecology and Arboriculture.

As an Assistant Ecologist you'll receive:

As an Assistant Ecologist your duties will be:

  • Supporting Consultants and management team with ecology desk studies, preliminary ecological appraisals, bat roost assessments, phase 2 habitat surveys for bats, reptiles, amphibians, dormouse, water voles, invertebrates, and birds, and related ecological site works.

To be considered for the Assistant Ecologist position, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant area, such as Ecology, Biology or Zoology
  • Proven experience within ecological consultancy
  • Willingness to complete field surveys and travel to different sites
  • A full valid UK/EEC driving licence and your own car
