I am seeking an ambitious individual ready to take the next step in their finance career working for a leading healthcare provider in Warrington. This Assistant Finance Manager role is ideal for someone who may currently be an Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant. The successful candidate will oversee two accounts assistants and will be supported in their professional development with study support for accountancy qualifications.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the work of two accounts assistants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their tasks.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Produce management accounts and reports that reflect the company’s financial status.
- Manage the organisation’s budget and cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Post journal entries to keep track of financial transactions.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the finance department, contributing to the smooth running of the business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- AAT qualified and currently studying towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA) or qualified by experience (QBE).
- A confident and accountable individual who is solutions focused.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
- Previous use of Xero is desirable but not essential.
