Assistant Financial Accountant

We are working with a dynamic and growing manufacturing company based in East Sussex looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant.

The vacancy provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accountant to join a dynamic organisation gaining hands on experience of financial reporting and monthly management accounting responsibilities for the holding company.

The Role:

• for the bookkeeping of the company entity and holding company accounts, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, fixed assets, etc
• contact for suppliers/internal staff responsible for suppliers to ensure invoices are received and processed on a timely basis
• contact with Intercompany finance managers answering any ad-hoc queries
• monthly intercompany charges
• for external loans taken by the Group
• the company and holding company management accounts for review by the Group Financial Reporting Manager
• the Group Financial Reporting Manager in preparing schedules for the consolidated management accounts
• trading - review and follow up of monthly reconciliations
• of plc reporting pack at half year and full year
• packs submitted by subsidiaries and following up on queries raised
• in the preparation of the Group’s annual and interim financial statements
• with auditors to ensure queries raised are resolved in a timely manner
• prepare the company and holding company budgets

Experience/skills/requirements:

• in Accounting & Finance or equivalent
• years professional experience in a finance role
• speaking English
• to think logically with proven problem-solving/analytical skills
• in working with MS Excel.
• ability to prioritise work and meet demanding deadlines
• team player with excellent communication skills, able to build good relationships with finance colleagues around the world.
