Are you an experienced support worker or teaching assistant seeking a new challenge?

An 'Outstanding' special school in Leeds is seeking an experienced Autism Support Worker to join their growing team of support staff. The school caters for children and young people aged 2 to 18 with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.

The school is seeking a full time (Monday to Friday) Autism Support Worker to start as soon as possible to contribute in providing the best care to their pupils.

As an Autism Support Worker, your roles and responsibilities will be:

  • To build strong rapport with the pupils and support them in accordance to the care plans and ensure their needs and requirements are met.
  • To assist the class teacher in running exciting lessons and stimulating activities to aid the pupils' sensory skills.
  • To provide 1:1 support to the pupils who require more direct assistance.
  • To support with behaviour management as and when required.

To be an Autism Support Worker at this school, it is required that you have experience supporting children or adults with autism and Learning Disabilities to demonstrate your knowledge of how to support vulnerable young people.
