Band 7 Physiologist -

Hunter AHP have an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Physiologist  with to take on a band 7 Respitaroy at an NHS Trust in the Wiltshire area on a Locum basis.

This is exciting role to start ASAP and will be ongoing. 

Summary of details for the role as follows:

You would need the physiologist to competently and independently perform the following tests in line with ARTP (2020) guidelines:

• Spirometry
• Lung volumes
• Gas transfer
• Reversibility
• FeNO

They should also be able to perform muscle function (sit/supine, MIPS/MEPS, SNIP) as that is within a B4 role, but not the end of the world if they can’t, because they are less commonly requested.

It may be worth finding out if they have completed the ARTP Practitioner level examination – if so, they will be qualified to interpret results, which is required for non-respiratory referrals. Again not the end of the world, but it is a good sign that they are competent.

We would require someone Mon to Fri. Probably 08.30 start. Clinics would be over by 17.30 hrs. I am happy for someone to work 4 days if preferred. To be honest we would welcome any days filled, so if someone can only do 2 days and were competent that would be better than nobody. We would be happy to have more than 1 person to essentially provide a 5 day service.
