Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join our dynamic team in a thriving primary school setting based in Bournemouth

Details:

Start Date: September

Responsible to: Teacher

Location: Bournemouth

Daily Pay Rate: £100 - £140

Hours of work: Full-Time

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide tailored support to students with behavioural difficulties, promoting positive behaviour management strategies.

- Work closely with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized behaviour plans, ensuring the needs of all students are met.

- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging self-confidence and self-regulation skills.

- Utilize a range of intervention techniques to de-escalate challenging situations and promote a calm and supportive learning environment.

- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide comprehensive support for students with complex behavioural needs.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational setting.

- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents/carers.

- Resilience and adaptability to respond effectively to challenging situations.

- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
