Business Development Manager

Our client is an established multi-award-winning business experiencing significant growth in the renewable sector. They are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and imaginative Business Development Manager who can demonstrate a successful track record in a similar field to join their friendly team
BDM Responsibilities
- Following a period of training, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
- Development of new and existing customers to maximise activity
- Development of reseller partners and introducers
- Responding to inbound leads and referrals
- Developing long-term mutually beneficial relationships
- Identifying and researching new routes to market
- Promotion & sale of company's products & services
- Maintaining records, order information and communicating with all levels of the business and customers
- Development throughout the UK, in person and via telephone calls, emails and various acceptable forms of media
- Producing sales quotations & reports
- Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstration
BDM Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a BDM role with a strong focus on new business
- The ability to generate new profitable business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An ability to work to targets and meet deadline
- An ability to accurately forecast inbound business
- An ability to process information and data from Excel and others
- A positive outgoing nature
- Excellent timekeeping
- Good organisation skills
- Full driving licence
- The following attributes would be a distinct advantage although not essential:
- Degree in Business, Electrical or similar field would be advantageous.
- Previous promotion of Renewables or Green Tech would be advantageous
