Location: Aylesbury

Rate of pay: £17.50ph - £19.50ph

Hours:

• Early shift, Monday - Thursday, 6am - 2.15pm.
• Late shift, Monday - Thursday, 2pm - 12.00pm (incurs premium)
• Overtime rates available.

Position Overview:

This position is within a dynamic and expanding manufacturing company, specialising in the design and manufacture of gears, shafts, transmission, and highly complex CNC machined parts for multiple industries. Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated centre lathe turner to run an XYZ proturn semi-CNC centre lathe.

Key responsibilities/ duties:

• Set up and operate centre lathes to machine metal components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Measure and inspect finished components using precision instruments to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentations and records of work.
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment, following health and safety guidelines and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve machining processes and optimise efficiency.
• Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the machining process.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality and accuracy.
