An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children’s Support Worker to assist a delightful 10-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, developmental delay and complex needs. The Support Worker will assist our client after school with his personal care, nutrition, and therapy needs. You will be assisting with therapeutic play and activities as guided by the therapy team, in addition to daily care and trips into the community.

This job will suit someone with plenty of energy; the role is a physical one, and our client is very energetic. He responds best to animated, bubbly people who engage with him and give him lots of attention.

Due to the nature of this role, we are only able to accept applications from Female Children’s Support Workers*

What you’ll need to be a successful Children’s Support Worker:
  • A full, clean driving licence is essential
  • Use of your own car is preferable but not essential
  • Experience working with children is essential
  • Experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable
  • To deliver high standards of support to maximise the client’s participation and enjoyment of life
  • To follow care plans and risk assessments
  • To work sensitively and in tandem with his parents
  • A caring, respectful, professional approach with a willingness to uphold the client’s dignity
  • Willingness to learn new skills and attend client-specific training and meetings
Working Hours:
School Term Time – Monday-Friday, 14:00-19:00
­School Holiday – Monday-Friday, 07:30-12:30 (although his parents are flexible to discuss alternative
hours for holidays if preferred). There is also the possibility of additional ad hoc evening or weekend
hours if the candidate wishes.

Pay Rates:
£16/hour - Monday-Friday
£18/hour - Saturday & Sunday

Two excellent references and an enhanced DBS check will be pursued.
