CI Manager
Elevation Recruitment Group’s Technical Engineering division is currently working with a global, leading manufacturing business in their search for a Continuous Improvement Manager.
You will be leading the implementation and delivery of the Continuous Improvement Programme with accountability for the deployment of key tools and projects site wide. Working closely with senior leadership, this role will drive forward an operational excellence programme that has safety and quality at the forefront whilst implementing core lean tools cross functionally.
CI Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leading all areas of continuous improvement driving ownership of projects (non-capex) and implementation site wide
- They will work collaboratively across the site with the focus on manufacturing performance, cost reduction, moving projects into
sustainable processes and upskilling all levels within site. - Developing site capability through targeted improvement opportunities, focused projects and through the development and delivery of training courses.
- Leading production excellence programs and supporting Production/Operations managers, role modelling
- Lead the merger of CI into the site operational DNA to the benefit of the site Manufacturing teams
- Ensure various leadership teams remain on track with their actions to deliver the agreed focused targets.
- Actively seeking out improvement opportunities within the workplace and take ownership of these to improve them directly or through the process owner.
- Develop, review and update the technical training materials whilst ensuring they are transferred into everyday working methods to accelerate the learning curve and
optimise performance - Continue to develop the Operations Continuous Improvement Culture through the
advancement of Plant Capabilities and implementation of Kaizen initiatives on the
shop floor
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Preferably Degree qualified with qualifications in process analysis (TQM/Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
methodology) and experience working with process improvement methodology. - Experience within FMCG/Consumer goods would be beneficial
- Proven experience of implementing continuous improvement techniques such as 5S, value stream mapping, visual management, problem solving and Kaizen
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills including trouble-shooting capabilities, to increase efficiency, productivity and profitability.
