CNC Machinist

Elevation Recruitment Groups Skilled shop floor team are currently looking for an experience CNC Machinist to join a progressive Sheffield-based manufacturer, supplying forged rings to aerospace and power generation industries.

Working Hours: alternating weekly shifts
Mornings: Monday- Thursday: 05:00 – 12:30 Friday: 05:00– 12:00
Afters – Monday- Thursday 12:00– 19:00 Friday: 11:30 – 18:30

Salary:
Mornings: £14.07 p/h + £28.14 weekly shift allowance.
Afters: £14.07 p/h + £56.28 weekly shift allowance

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Setting and operating multiple CNC machines
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Setting cutting speeds and tolerance levels
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning and facing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes and adjusting and reprogramming controls.
• Adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Knowledge of conventional machining

Skills and Experience

• CNC Machining qualification or time served experience.
• Experience in machining steels, nickels, and titanium.
• Communication skills
• The initiative to work on your own or as part of a team.
