Position: CNC Programmer

Location: Gloucestershire, UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop CNC programs for milling and lathe operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in production.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery to meet quality standards and production goals.
  • Troubleshoot and debug programs and machinery to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Implement best practices for CNC programming, tooling selection, and machining techniques.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to maintain product integrity.
  • Document processes, procedures, and modifications for future reference and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC programmer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX).
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, and materials.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes.
