Job title: Commercial Broker
Salary: £28,000 to £38,000
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)

Purpose of the role:

Exciting new vacancy for this owner managed insurance brokerage as they expand into Glasgow city centre. Working closely with company directors, providing the highest level of customer satisfaction and broking service to their commercial insurance clients.

Due to continued success, they require 2 additional brokers to join their team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Handle mainly existing business for commercial and corporate clients.
  • Deliver bespoke and tailored insurance solutions.
  • Provide quotations, handle renewals, MTA's, insurer placement, invoicing, etc.
  • Work closely with account executives, attending client visits where required.
  • Negotiate with insurers to win competitive rates and build robust relationships.
  • Keep Acturis records up to date.
  • Attend network events.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within commercial insurance broking.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products including property, motor, EL, PL, commercial combined, business interruption, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong negotiating and relationship building skills.
  • Acturis experience essential as well as being computer literate.
  • CII qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Be commercially aware whilst focusing on insurance principles.
