Contract SolidWorks Engineer IR35: Outside

Hourly Rate - Circa £30 DOE
Contract Term - Ad hoc / Freelance
Location - Fully Remote

We're supporting a leading engineering company who specialise in metrology inspection fixtures across the UK, but they also have clients globally. They have a team of experienced fixture design engineers, toolmakers & metrology engineers who create robust metrology solutions.

Due to a high demand in their services, they are now looking for an experienced contract SolidWorks engineer to support them on an ad hoc basis, with an immediate start.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Assist when required in the initial concept development stage
  • Review with their metrology engineers to refine the concept
  • Design qualification with the customer
  • Final design of the fixture including the creation of production drawings, BOMs (bills of materials) & GAs (general arrangements)

Experiences required

  • Competent CAD 3D modeller using SolidWorks
  • Educated within Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Able to create BOMs (Bills of Materials) & GAs (General Arrangements)
  • Must have own CAD capable hardware
  • Must have own SolidWorks 2023/2024 license
