A high tech, start-up in the Bristol area is currently looking for a Demand & Supply Chain Lead to join their team.

Having successfully just gone through a major round of funding, they are looking for an ambitious Demand & Supply Chain Lead to join their small but rapidly growing team. They’ve just received regulatory approval on their first product and will be developing their next generation of products over the next few years. Their tech is novel and patented and will have a huge positive impact on people’s lives.

The Demand & Supply Chain Lead will orchestrate the development and implementation of critical operations to ensure that supply chains are set up and run at the highest standard/quality, enhancing capacity, and are aligned with New Product Introduction that are underpinned by good cost control.

You will have the responsibility for identifying and being the point of contact for logistics partners. Creating a rolling demand plan and work closely with external manufacturers and partners to ensure the flow of supply and securing stock availability. You will have the responsibility for management and continuous improvement of supply chain processes and systems, including negotiation with suppliers.

This is a brand-new role within the organisation (due to growth), and the successful Demand & Supply Chain Lead will have the opportunity to build their own team as the company continues to grow, and have a real impact on the future of the business. You will report directly into the board. Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a supply chain or demand planning role
  • Experience of managing and end to end supply chain
  • Experience of establishing supply chain and demand planning processes
  • Forecasting and replenishment methodologies knowledge
  • Experience of different supply chain functions
  • COGS (cost of goods sold), BOM (bill of materials) & cash to order experience
  • Change management and continual improvement experience
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous
