Are you a mechanical design engineer, wanting to build on your heavy engineering design experience and progress into a leadership position, where you will receive tailored training to support your development and accelerate your career?

Established over 40 years ago, they have recently taken on new contracts for international clients and are now looking for a Design Engineer to step into a Manager role, to help the company grow and keep up with demand.

You will be responsible for managing large centrifugal projects from concept to completion, liaising with clients to understand their needs and using CAD software to design or modify existing design to meet those needs. You will also be responsible for looking into design factors such as operational efficiency, material use and cost.

The Role

• Managing the design process from concept to completion
• Investigating all design factors such as function, materials and opertational efficiency
• Preparing project engineering data such as BOMs
• Overseeing the work of a small design team

The Person

• Mechanical Design Engineer or similar
• Experience with heavy engineering design
• Ideally any experience with machine automation, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Looking to progress into management
