We are recruiting for Despatch Operators to join the Abbey View site for Paragon based in Wymondham. The site specialises in production of outbound and inbound document services. The site contains printing, mailing andwarehousing capability for the purposes of outbound mail and postal and electronic receipt, capture, validation, and document storage for the purposes of inbound mail.

Hours:

Week 1 - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, contracted hours, working 7.00am to 7.00pm, working 11 hours per shift.

Week 2 - Monday and Tuesday, working 7.00am to 7.00pm, working 11 hours per shift.

What are the responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles, moving consumables and items of mail packed on pallets and Yorkes from the unchecked mail area to their designated checked mail lanes.
  • Stacking goods and consumables in the correct storage bays
  • Checking loads are secure.
  • Stacking empty pallets
  • Performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery, checking trucks for damage and conducting forklift truck safety inspection checks.
  • Helping the goods in team to load and unload trucks where necessary performing other warehouse tasks like taking incoming goods from couriers.
  • Other tasks will include Printing labels for our production floor teams, using online systems to produce invoices and end of day reports, using MI system to monitor the progress of jobs at all stages, conducting consumables count and updating excel spreadsheet.
  • You will also be required to lease with clients internal and external to build effective relationships using multiple forms of communication.
  • Ensure you comply with all health and safety procedures in line with our policies
  • Adhere to all defined standards and processes
  • Ensure issues are escalated in timely and accurately to the Line Manager
  • Identify any improvements and make recommendations for change
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • Maintain high standards of security in the warehouse
