Drug & Alcohol Support Coordinator
Posted 9 May by
Red 5 People Ltd
Hybrid role (2 days home / 3 office) working on a drug and alcohol service supporting ex-offenders to rehabilitate and move towards employment and training.
The office element is working at 2 projects extremely near to each other (both about a 10-minute walk from Aldgate East). Although a fixed term contract until Mar 2025, it could well extend as the charity often has other opportunities. The main purpose is to support clients, so they have a good baseline to move towards an Employment and Training Coach. To summarise the day to elements of the role:
This role could suit someone with experience of the client group (so learning towards to end of the salary). So, you might have worked as a Resettlement Worker, Drug & Alcohol Support Worker, Hostel Worker, Supported Housing Officer, or Employment Advisor.
But it could also suit a graduate with a degree related subject such as criminology (with voluntary or paid experience of work with vulnerable clients).
Please apply to this advert – we aim to respond to everyone (if by chance you have not had a response, feel free to call the office and ask for James or send a message via the Contact Page on the Red 5 People website and we will get back in contact within 48 hours).
Interviews will be face to face on Thursday 16th May.
Please note: the home working days cannot be fixed days each week as you would need to work around the needs of the service.
