We are currently recruiting for an Education Welfare Officer to work alongside the existing team in assisting with Elective Home Education. This role will involve travelling around the Wakefield District and assessing work provided by families and young people to ensure its suitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Elective Home Education
- Travelling frequently around the Wakefield District
- Assessing work provided by families and young people to ensure its suitability
- Using IT systems and following data protection and safeguarding policies
- Working within an established team
Requirements:
- Experience working with families and young people
- Experience of working within an education based setting
- Good understanding of data protection and safeguarding policies
- Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
- Proficient in using IT systems
Qualifications:
- None required, but relevant qualifications in Education or Social Work would be advantageous
Job Description:
The successful candidates will be responsible for travelling around the Wakefield District and assessing work provided by families and young people to ensure its suitability. As part of this role, the candidates will need to be proficient in using IT systems and following data protection and safeguarding policies. The candidates will be working within an established team, supporting this educative work.
