The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a focused, fast-paced and friendly Content Design team to deliver our content strategy for our members.

As the membership body for solicitors in England and Wales, we work to promote the value of the profession, protect the justice system and support our members.

Working as part of a team, you will lead our approach to email communications, including responsibility for our flagship email update - a key strategic and commercial communication distributed to our membership of over 200,000 solicitors across England and Wales.

You will also provide a compelling, tailored and up-to-date digital content offering for Law Society members and other key stakeholders.

In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts to:

  • plan, create and deliver impactful segmented communications
  • create engaging, impactful and effective written and multimedia content on strategic and commercial priorities
  • make complex legal, regulatory and policy issues easy to digest, using clear, engaging and accurate language
  • publish digital content to our website using content management systems
  • use traffic and behavioural analytics reporting tools to refine and embed data-informed decisions
  • develop and refine audience segmentation models
  • identify opportunities for continuous improvement of communications and content
  • provide editorial and planning advice to colleagues and stakeholders

This is an dynamic and varied role, where your expertise and knowledge will be used to great effect to make a real impact for our members.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with email communications experience in a fast-paced and reactive environment using professional email software. This includes stakeholder management, audience segmentation, and building and optimising templates.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to quickly understand complex or technical issues and translate these into engaging and easy-to-understand communications.

You will have content management system experience, with an understanding of best practice in digital publishing, search engine optimisation and digital accessibility.

You will have experience using and applying insights from traffic and behavioural analytics reporting tools. You will also be able to use data to measure impact and to plan and deliver content testing mechanisms that optimise engagement and conversion.

We're looking for strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly form positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.

You will be self-motivated, flexible and proactive with a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

You will have good planning, analytical and organisational skills, and be able to lead on long-term projects, multi-task and manage competing priorities.

What's in it for you

This is an excellent opportunity to work with contemporary thinkers in a progressive membership organisation. The successful candidate will join a strong brand with a reputation for excellence and legal expertise, committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and a culture of trust, clarity and respect.

We offer hybrid working, a generous flexible benefits package, a friendly working environment and the opportunity to develop your career within a professional organisation.
