Seven Education are looking for an English/Media specialist teacher to work with an established Secondary School in Tonbridge, Kent.

The role:


As an English/Media Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing engaging English language and media curriculum. You will have the opportunity to inspire students to become effective communicators, critical thinkers, and responsible digital citizens. Working collaboratively with our team, you will create an inclusive learning environment that promotes literacy, creativity, and cultural understanding. It would also involve planning and delivering lessons up to 6th form.  

Key Responsibilities:


Design and deliver comprehensive English language and media curriculum for various grade levels, incorporating best practices and innovative teaching strategies.

Develop engaging lesson plans, activities, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and promote student participation and achievement.

Integrate technology and multimedia resources effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to express themselves, collaborate with peers, and explore their interests.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development in English language proficiency and media literacy.

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders to support student success and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Stay informed about current trends, research, and developments in English language teaching, media studies, and educational technology.

Qualifications:


Degree in English, Education, Media Studies, or a related field.

QTS or PGCE

Proven experience teaching English language arts or media studies at the secondary level.

Key information

  • Start date – 1st of May until the end of the academic year.
  • Pay – between £170 to £190 a day depending on experience, Umbrella or PAYE options available.
