AR586 – Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator 

Location: Ledbury  

Salary: £30,000 

Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator on behalf of one of our clients. 

Working with Manufacturing Teams to ensure that all integrated management systems and retailer policies and procedures are effectively deployed and measuring effectiveness through audits. Coordinating environment and sustainability targets and initiatives for the site. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Act as a role model and advocate for environmental sustainability and continuous improvement. Support delivery of the Manufacturing strategy in areas related to environment of both inputs and outputs. 
  • Lead ISO 14001 Audits.  
  • Co-ordinate and oversee environmental operations to ensure regulatory compliance and permit renewals. 
  • Oversee waste disposal and treatment programs. 
  • Ensure that industrial operations are following local regulations 
  • Carry out site inspections and audits for environment compliance. 
  • Identify root causes of environmental problems and propose appropriate action plans. 
  • Proactively seek areas for improvements, working with management to continually improve environmental compliance across the site. Work with cross-functional teams to maintain environmental management and monitoring programs. 
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the results and recommendations of the sustainability assessments and certification. 
  • Work with the Technical Advisor to identify relevant opportunities for efficiency improvements as part of the environmental sustainability strategy, in line with company vision and values which includes carbon & waste reduction initiatives. 
  • Assist the Technical Advisor with the ESG and carbon data collection, calculation, validation, and reporting. 

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Experience of environmental management systems e.g. ISO14001, · Environmental audits 
  • Assessing environmental aspects and impacts. 
  • Degree educated 

Desirable :

  • Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline. 
  • Data analysis to determine environmental performance 
  • Waste management plans and ideally carbon and energy reporting 
  • Formal Environmental training 
  • ISO 14001 training
