Are you an Experienced Bookkeeper with proven accountancy practice experience looking to join an accountancy practice?

If you have over 2 years of working experience in an accountancy practice in the UK, this Experienced Bookkeeper position in Bromley (BR1) could be the right fit for you.

If you do not have experience of working for at least 2 years in an accounting practice in the UK, please do not apply for this job.

This is an office based job in Bromley (UK), so please do not apply from abroad. Candidates should be UK residents with right to work in the UK.

You should live within 10 miles of BR1 (Bromley) and work full time in the office.

You’ll be qualified, or studying towards a professional qualification (AAT or ACCA), with experience using spreadsheets and accountancy software, including Xero.

Working with the firm’s established client portfolio, this opportunity will suit someone with good communication skills, both verbally and written.

You’ll have strong technical skills, have a can-do attitude to problem-solving, and be experienced to hit the ground running.

Job Purpose

• Preparation of VAT returns
• Bookkeeping services using spreadsheets
• Bank reconciliations
• Preparation of self-assessment tax returns
• Recording of the accounting information, and the preparation of VAT returns from the bank records, in various software, such as Xero, etc
• High attention to detail and technically proficient
• Handle other related duties as required
