Experienced Payroll Officer
Our client who is a well-established family run business based in Stonehouse are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as an efficient payroll officer, be self motivated and willing to support the wider team during busier periods.
Responsibilities/Duties;
-Provide a confidential administration service for payroll clients.
-Keep up to date with any legislative changes regarding income tax, national insurance and other payroll related matters.
-Process/import timesheets received for payment from clients on a weekly/monthly/2 weekly/4 weekly basis and reconcile to the payroll system.
-Check and process maternity/paternity leave calculations in accordance with statutory guidelines.
-Administer the clients workplace pension schemes.
-Dealing with HMRC and other Government agencies on employer related queries.
-Completing the HMRC FPS & EPS returns each pay run.
-Produce nominal journal for clients’ accountants.
-Liaise with accountants and auditors on payroll control queries.
-Responsible for tax year end balancing for each client.
-Liaise with Site Administrators, Managers and employees when required.
-Answer telephone calls and emails, respond to any payroll related queries in a timely and professional manner.
-Managing benefits and expenses and reporting correctly to HMRC via payrolling benefits or P11Ds.
Hours- Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm - can be flexible to finish early on Fridays!
Salary- Up to £29,250 + free onsite parking + healthcare plan + team incentives + loyalty bonus + bacon baps + the odd roast dinner cooked on site!
