This role requires a meticulous Finance Assistant to support the Accounting & Finance team in a not-for-profit organisation. The successful candidate will handle various finance-related tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Description

The key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Processing invoices and expense claims in a timely manner.
  • Performing bank reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Ensuring financial transactions are correctly recorded in the accounting system.
  • Helping with financial audits and providing required information.
  • Carrying out any other finance-related tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • Not for Profit and Charities sector desirable.
  • Ability to commute to Manchester.
  • A strong finance related background.
  • A solid foundation in accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Offer

On offer to the candidate;
