An exciting position has arisen for a Finance Assistant to work for an excellent nationwide Charity to provide support to the busy transactional finance team

The role will be supporting across both the AP and AR ledgers, so is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to expand and gain expereince across finance

Key responsibilities:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Charities policies and procedures
  • Maintain Purchase Ledger and respond to supplier queries
  • Maintain Sales Ledger and respond to customer queries
  • Process staff and volunteer expenses ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Produce monthly statements of debtor accounts
  • Monitor the finance inbox on a rota basis, respond to queries promptly and redistribute emails to the relevant finance team members
  • Reach out to sponsors for purchase orders and raise invoices
  • Raise invoices, monitor income and chase overdue payments as needed

Successful candidate profile:

  • Suitable Accounting or Bookkeeping qualifications e.g. AAT and/or Expereince working in AP/AR roles
  • Experience using Finance systems to input data
  • Excellent numeracy and accuracy skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal

Annual Salary: £24,300 - £25,600
